“Verily, verily, I say unto you, ye are little children, and ye have not as yet understood how great blessings the Father hath in his own hands and prepared for you; And ye cannot bear all things now; nevertheless, be of good cheer, for I will lead you along. The kingdom is yours and the blessings thereof are yours, and the riches of eternity are yours. And he who recieveth all things with thankfulness shall be made glorious; and the things of this earth shall be added unto him, even an hundred fold, yea, more”.

These scriptures are SO good! Heavenly Father has lots in store for us, we just need to trust in Him! I love the part that says “be of good cheer, for I will lead you along”. Maybe everything doesn’t make sense right now but that is okay, it will eventually. And as we go forward in faith we can have the confidence that God will lead us along. He is in the details in our lives. And as we are grateful for the things in our lives, we will start to see God even more everyday until one day we return home to Him!!

These past couple days I’ve been studying the letters that Alma wrote to his sons, found in Alma 36-39! If you have a little time to read I would definitely recommend!! One of the verses that stuck out to me was Alma 38:9 which reads,

“And now, my son, I have told you this that ye may learn wisdom, that ye may learn of me that there is no other way or means whereby man can be saved, only in and through Jesus Christ. Behold, he is the the life and the light of the world. Behold, he is the word of truth and righteousness”.

This scripture is so good! This week we’ve been able to meet so many incredible members and hear their conversion stories. I have been amazed by their dedication to their Savior, Jesus Christ. So many have given up SO much to know Him and live His Gospel. I know that Jesus Christ lives. Only through Him can we be saved. He is the light and life of the world. And it is worth every effort to follow Him. Jesus Christ in the equation changes everything 🤍

A devotional that I really liked this week was from President and Sister Nelson titled “Hope of Israel”. In it they talk a lot about the importance of the Gathering of Israel. We are in the latter days and all have the opportunity to participate in this great gathering. President Nelson said “Anytime you do anything that helps anyone—on either side of the veil—take a step toward making covenants with God and receiving their essential baptismal and temple ordinances, you are helping to gather Israel. It is as simple as that”. Isn’t that so cool?? We all have an important role and the Savior wants each of us on His team!! As we pray to know our role in the Gathering of Israel the Spirit will help guide us!!

This week I read an AMAZING devotional from the General Primary President, Rosemary K Chibota! In it she talked a little bit about how Jesus Christ is the Master Potter. Just like a potter with a lump of clay, our Savior “presses, shapes and refines the clay (us) into what He imagined from the beginning”. It reminded me of one of my favorite scriptures in Doctrine & Covenants which says “… all these things shall give thee experience, and shall be for thy good”. As we stay close to the Lord, ALL things can work for our good. We can trust that these experiences, however hard they may feel at the time, are shaping and molding us into the person He wants us to become. These moments are preparing us for experiences far greater than we can imagine. We can always put our trust in the Lord… He knows what He is doing. He has a plan and it is designed to bring us home.

Today for zone pday we went up to this big Swiss ranch. There were lots of baby animals and lots of farmland full of fresh vegetables. The views were soo beautiful!! It reminded me of one of my most favorite hymns “For the Beauty of the Earth” which says:

“For the beauty of the earth, For the beauty of the skies, For the love which from our birth, Over and around us lies, Lord of all, to thee we raise, This our hymn of grateful praise, For the beauty of each hour, Of the day and of the night, Hill and vale, and tree and flow’r, Sun and moon, and stars of light”.

I’m so thankful to live on this beautiful earth and enjoy all the experiences life has to offer!! All the sunsets, all the starry skies, the rivers, everything… all evidence that there is a God who loves us so much!!

A couple days ago we taught the Plan of Salvation to our friend and she had some doubts and questions. One of her biggest doubts was that we are not all children of God, we are just His creations. I’ve been thinking about that a lot since then. I’ve sung “I am a Child of God” since forever but this lesson really just hit me how precious this simple truth is. We are a sons and daughters of a loving Heavenly Father. And that is that. Nothing will change that truth and no one can ever take that away from you. He loves us more than we can even begin to imagine. Sister Susan H Porter has a quote that says, “When you know and understand how completely you are loved as a child of God, it changes everything. It changes the way you feel about yourself when you make mistakes. It changes how you feel when difficult things happen. It changes your view of God’s commandments. It changes your view of others and of your capacity to make a difference”. Each of us is a beloved child of God with a divine destiny, with a potential to become like Him. And if we let that truth sink in, it can change everything!!!

One of my most favorite chapters in the Book of Mormon is Ether 12 which talks all about faith! There are so many verses about people in the scriptures who had so much faith in Jesus Christ and therefore witnessed huge miracles!

13 Behold, it was the faith of Alma and Amulek that caused the prison to tumble to the earth.

14 Behold, it was the faith of Nephi and Lehi that wrought the change upon the Lamanites, that they were baptized with fire and with the Holy Ghost.

15 Behold, it was the faith of Ammon and his brethren which wrought so great a miracle among the Lamanites.

Just like all these scripture heroes as we show Jesus Christ our faith, He will bring about great miracles!! But this week one of the verses that stuck out to me the most was verse 6 which reads “And now, I, Moroni, would speak somewhat concerning these things; I would show unto the world that faith is things which are hoped for and not seen; wherefore, dispute not because ye see not, for ye recieve no witness until after the trial of your faith”. Faith needs to be tried!! That is how it grows! And as our faith is centered in Jesus Christ we can have confidence that He will be with us every step of the way, even in those testing moments!!

This week I studied a lot about Joy! A scripture that I really like is 2 Nephi 2:25 which says “Adam fell that man might be; and men are, that they might have joy”. We are here on Earth to experience joy! Joy is not the absence of sorrow, trial or difficulties… it is the presence of God in our lives! In a Conference Talk from Elder Uchtdorf called “A Higher Joy” he said “Can it be that in our search for joy, the best way to find it is to bring joy to others? Brothers and sisters, you know and I know this is true! Joy is like a barrel of flour or a jar of oil that will never run out. True joy multiplies when it is shared”. So good!! These last 11 months I have learned that there is SO much joy in coming unto Christ! Whether that be bringing ourselves unto Him or bringing a friend… there is SO much joy in our Savior!!

“Now ye may suppose that this is foolishness in me; but behold I say unto you, that by small and simple things are great things brought to pass; and small means in many instances doth confound the wise.

And the Lord God doth work by means to bring about his great and eternal purposes; and by very small means the Lord doth confound the wise and bringeth about the salvation of many souls”.

Small and simple things can bring about great miracles! Doing the small everyday things bring about BIG changes! As we focus on the Savior and strive to do the best we can, He will make up the rest. He can make SO much out of our seemingly small offerings!

This morning I read a talk from Elder Uchtdorf titled “Forget Me Not” from the October 2011 General Conference. Definitely would recommend reading it!! In it he says “Wherever you are, whatever your circumstances may be, you are not forgotten. No matter how dark your days may seem, no matter how insignificant you may feel, no matter how overshadowed you think you may be, your Heavenly Father has not forgotten you. In fact, He loves you with an infinite love”. That is the greatest truth in the universe… God loves us more than we can even comprehend!! And that will never change! We are a lot closer to Heaven that we might think and God’s fingerprints are all over our lives! We each have a divine eternal potential and Jesus Christ can’t wait to help us achieve it! Don’t ever forget that!!!

One of my most favorite Book of Mormon scriptures is found in 2 Nephi 27:23 which says “For behold, I am God; and I am a God of miracles; and I will show unto the world that I am the same yesterday, today, and forever; and I work not among the children of men save it be according to their faith”. I love this scripture SO much!! Lots of things in our lives will change but we have the promise that God will never change. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. We can always count on Him. And trust that He is a God of miracles. As we show Him our faith, He will work miracles! God is good all the time! And miracles DO come!!

This week I’ve been thinking a lot about how important it is for us to always have the constant companionship of the Holy Ghost! President Nelson taught that “in coming days, it will not be possible to survive spiritually without the guiding, directing, comforting, and constant influence of the Holy Ghost”. The gift of the Holy Ghost is one of the best gifts that God has given us! The Holy Ghost has many different roles in our lives… he is a guide, a teacher, a comforter and a protector. As we do the spiritual work to have his constant companionship our life will be greatly blessed. One of the best things we can learn in this life is how to seek, recognize and act on promptings from the Spirit!!!

This week I was studying a lot about baptism and covenants. And a quote from President Nelson really stuck out which says “Once we make a covenant with God, we leave neutral ground forever. God will not abandon His relationship with those who have forged such a bond with Him. In fact, all those who have made a covenant with God have access to a special kind of love and mercy”. That is SO cool!! Baptism opens the gate for a life full of God’s strength and power!! Once we make our first covenant with God our lives will never be the same again!! As we make and keep more covenants we will be even more connected to them! There is no one better to be bounded to than our Heavenly Father and Savior, Jesus Christ!! Have an amazing week! This week I was watching an amazing devotional by Sister Tania Runia called “Let His Radiance Shine Through You”. If you have a little bit of time, I definitely would recommend!! She shared a story of a little blind girl on a train ride with her dad. A friend on the train offered to hold the little girl to give the dad a break. The dad asked his daughter if she knew who was holding her. The little girl responded “no but you do”. Connecting this to our own lives, Sister Runia then shared “When life is messy and heaven whispers, ‘Do you know why this is happening to you?’ what if we could have the faith to answer, ‘No, but You do’? We’ve been asked to trust that God knows what He’s doing with us even though we cannot see how He can possibly do it.” I love this SO much! We don’t know everything but we do know God and that is enough! We can always trust in Him and in His perfect plan!! God knows how to be God!! This month I’ve been really focusing on the Restoration and what it means for me personally. It has been amazing!! One of my most favorite youth album songs is “Pillar of Light” the chorus says, “And when he prayed, A pillar of light rested on him. The windows of heaven were opened again. They called him by name. Chosen by God, he was part of a bigger plan. It all began with a pillar of light.” That pillar of light has blessed my life so much. I have a testimony that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ really did appear to Joseph Smith in that grove. And I know that God knows each of us by name. I know that God’s Power is on the earth again and because of that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is so much more than a place to worship God. No where else can we perform saving ordinances and make covenants with God so that we can live with Him and our families again. What a blessing it is that we have a living prophet today that recieves revelation from the Lord to guide His church. And what a big blessing it is to have additional knowledge of our Savior Jesus Christ in the Book of Mormon. I know without a doubt that by the power of God Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon. I’m incredibly grateful to be living in this dispensation with the fullness of the Gospel and for the opportunity to share it with God’s children 🤍

Yesterday I studied a really awesome conference talk from Elder Shayne M. Bowen titled “Miracles, Angels and Priesthood Power”. Definitely would recommend!! In his talk he shared many really amazing experiences of the blessings of God’s Power here on Earth. He closed with his testimony “that miracles have not ceased, angels are among us, and the heavens are open. And oh, how open they are!” As I’ve been out on the mission I’ve seen that this is true. I’ve seen that God is real. All things denote there is a God. I’ve witnessed that His power really is on the Earth today. And what a big blessing that is. That miracles are real, and happen in ways that we don’t always expect. And that there are angels, earthly and heavenly, that are helping us along the way. And I really do believe that Heaven is a lot closer than we think 🤍

This week I’ve been studying a lot about the Restoration. As I was reading about prophets Jacob 4:6 really stood out to me which says “Wherefore, we search the prophets, and we have many revelations and the Spirit of prophecy; and having all these witnesses we obtain a hope, and our faith becometh unshaken, insomuch that we truly can command in the name of Jesus and the very trees obey us, or the mountains, or the waves of the sea”. Prophets and Apostles are special witnesses of Jesus Christ. As we listen and apply their words to our lives our faith in our Savior will increase. So much that we can become unshakable! We have so many records from prophets in the scriptures and we are so blessed to having a living prophet on the earth today. I know without a doubt that Dallin H Oaks is a prophet called of God and serves as a mouthpiece of the Lord.

A scripture that really stood out to me yesterday was in 3 Nephi 17. This is when Jesus Christ was here visiting the people in the Americas after His resurrection. Verse 4 says “But now I go unto the Father, and also to show myself unto the lost tribes of Israel, for they are not lost unto the Father, for he knoweth whither he hath taken them”. I love the part that says “they are not lost unto the Father”. We are not lost to God!! I’ve seen so much evidence in the mission that this is true. As we were sitting in the little Sacrament meeting, it was amazing to see how dear these souls are to God. God hadn’t forgotten about them and He provided a way for them to partake of the Sacrament. It was incredible! God is in relentless pursuit of His children! Have the best week!!

After some really tough moments this week a scripture that kept coming to mind was Joshua 1:9 which reads “Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest”. This scripture is SO good! The Lord is always by our side. The last verse of “How Firm A Foundation” also kept coming to mind which says “Fear not, I am with thee; oh, be not dismayed, For I am thy God and will still give thee aid. I’ll strengthen thee, help thee, and cause thee to stand, Upheld by my righteous, upheld by my righteous, Upheld by my righteous, omnipotent hand”. We are all going to face times that stretch us beyond our own capacity. But we have the opportunity to put everything in the hands of the Lord. There is no one better to put our trust and confidence in than our Savior, Jesus Christ. These times of testing are not meant to discourage us or bring us down they are intended to bring us closer to our Savior and help us become like Him. Trust Him!!

A scripture that really stood out to me this morning was in 1 Nephi 1:12. Talking about Lehi, it says “and it came to pass that as he read, he was filled with the Spirit of the Lord”. I really liked this scripture because instead of saying he felt the Spirit when he read, it says he was FILLED with the Spirit! As we read the scriptures, especially the Book of Mormon, we too can be filled with the Spirit of the Lord! I’ve seen in my own life and the life of so many others, that daily scripture study changes lives! Scripture Power is REAL! I know without a doubt that the Book of Mormon is true. Every page testifies of our Savior Jesus Christ. Joseph Smith said that “a man would get nearer to God by abiding by the book’s precepts, than by any other book” This is so true!!! My invitation to you is to pick up your Book of Mormon today read a little bit and be FILLED with the Spirit of the Lord!

A scripture that really stood out to me this morning is in Psalm 9: 9-10 which says “The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee”. This scripture is SO good! We can always put our confidence in the Savior. He is always standing close by with His arms outstretched calling us to come unto Him. I also really liked the part which says “they that know thy name”. Jesus Christ has many names… Reedemer, Shepherd, Savior, Brother, Advocate, Refuge… and so many more. As we come to know Jesus Christ we will come to know that to each of us He is “my Redeemer”, “my Shepherd”, “my Refuge”. The hymn “I know that my Savior loves me” has become one of my favorites here on the mission. The first verse says “A long time ago in a beautiful place, Children were gathered ’round Jesus. He blessed and taught as they felt of His love. Each saw the tears on His face. The love that He felt for His little ones, I know He feels for me. I did not touch Him or sit on His knee, Yet Jesus is real to me”. This song is so pretty! Christ is real to me. I’ve seen so much evidence that Jesus Christ lives. I know that He is our Savior. I know that He loves us more than we can imagine. He willing suffered and died for us so that we can have a perfect friend in this life. And so that we can have the opportunity to return home with Him. As we come to know our Savior, He will change our lives. There were SO many awesome Conference Talks this past weekend! One of my favorites was “Jesus Christ is the Way” by Elder Brian J Holmes! He shared a story about him and his wife running a really crazy marathon in Switzerland. One of the competitors was a blind man who was tethered to a guide. The guide led him safely through the steep rocky terrain. Just like this man we can choose to be tethered to Jesus Christ in the marathon of life. Of course we are all going to go through some rocky steep terrain at some points. But we can trust that Jesus Christ will guide us safely through. As we make and keep covenants with Him, we will have even greater access to His power. We can trust that He will not let us fall. He will always be there to catch us when we stumble. And with His help we can make it back to our Heavenly Home!!

TETHERED TO CHRIST! · Apr 10, 2026

This week it’s been really special to study about Jesus Christ’s Atonement. 2 Nephi 2:6-7 says “Wherefore, redemption cometh in and through the Holy Messiah; for He is full of grace and truth. Behold, he offereth himself a sacrifice for sin, to answer the ends of the law, unto all those who have a broken heart and a contrite spirit; and unto none else can the ends of the law be answered”. I love this scripture so much! Jesus Christ really is the only way. I am SO grateful for my Savior and everything He did. Only through Him can we overcome physical and spiritual death. He went through everything we will every go through and more so we wouldn’t have to experience this life alone. And His Atonement really is infinite. It covers everything and everyone! I know that Christ lives! And I am so grateful for this time in my life where my focus is just on the Savior and sharing the good news with everyone that He lives and through Him everything will be okay 🤍

This morning I was reading the Conference talk “Mortality Works” and it has definitely become one of my all time favorites! In his talk he says “God’s work and glory is to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man. The experiences of mortality are part of the journey that allows us to grow and progress toward that immortality and eternal life. We were not sent here to fail but to succeed in God’s plan for us”. Because of the Savior’s Atonement, ALL things in this life can work for our good! This life is designed to help us grow and progress! And to ultimately become like God and live with Him again!!! As I was reading Alma this week a story that stuck out to me was about Korihor in chapter 30. Korihor kept saying that if Alma showed him a sign then he would believe that there is a God. Alma then replies in verse 44, “… the scriptures are laid before thee, yea, and all things denote there is a God; yea even the earth, and all things that are upon the face of it, yea, and its motion, yea, and also all the planets which move in their regular form so witness that there is a Supreme Creator”. This verse is so cool! Everything here on Earth and in the sky is evidence that we have a loving Heavenly Father! On the mission I’ve seen so much evidence that God is real. I’ve seen him in the smiles of our friends, the sunsets walking home, big hugs from Paraguayan grandmas, members speaking a little bit of English, little kids playing in the street and so much more. I am so thankful that we have a loving Heavenly Father who never fails to show up for us day in and day out. I know that as we look for Him in all things, we will find Him in all things! 🤍

A story that stood out to me this past week in the New Testament is in John 2. This is where Jesus Christ is at the big wedding feast. The hosts run out of wine and Christ turned the water into wine. In verse 10 one of the wedding guests said that people always serve the best wine first but at this wedding feast “thou hast kept the good wine until now”. This story is a good reminder that whatever Christ touches is ALWAYS better! He could have easily made the exact same wine but He didn’t… He made something better. When we hand things over to the Lord we can have the confidence that His plans are good and always for our eternal benefit!

For the month of March our mission has a goal to read all of the book of John and Alma! Something that really stood out to me from the first chapter of Alma was the story of Nehor. Nehor was teaching the people all sorts of false doctrine and a lot of them started to follow him. This reminded me of President Nelson’s quote “In coming days, it will not be possible to survive spiritually without the guiding, directing, comforting, and constant influence of the Holy Ghost”. Just like in Alma’s day we are surrounded by Satan’s lies and bombarded by the adversary. But as we strive to always have the companionship of the Holy Ghost, we can trust that He will help us see God’s truth and lead us safely back to our Heavenly Home!!

A scripture that I loved this week is from John 21:25 which says “And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written”. Jesus Christ went about doing good always! One of my favorite parts of the mission is learning to see how the Lord works. The scriptures are full of Christ’s miracles and there are just as many miracles now. As we come to know our Savior, Jesus Christ, we will come to know that He is still bringing about so much good in our lives!!!
