Week of Apr 27, 2026 — Villa Elisa, Paraguay

Mba’éichapa!! How’s it going? Hope you are all doing well and had a great week!! This week was good here in Villa Elisa! Here are a few of the highlights!!!

• Hermana Jensen and I taught our first English class here in Villa Elisa! It was lots of fun and we had a good turnout!!
• Played a super fun soccer game with some of the ward kids during noche de barrio!!
• A couple weeks ago we had a cute little friend named Milkar who is 9 nine years old. We had to stop teaching him because every weekend he would go to his grandma’s house who lived far away. Yesterday at church, Milkar and his little sister Mariza (who is 6 years old) randomly showed up at church!!! It was literally such a huge miracle!!!
• Had divisions with Hermana Martinez in Villa Anita!! It was so much fun! Learned a lot from her and was able to meet their awesome friends!
• Hit 8 months in the mission!! Celebrated with yummy acai and pizza hut! Time is flying by soo fast!
• As we were walking home on Saturday night we randomly ran into one of our old friends on the street. The first thing he said was something along the lines of “see there are no coincidences”. Definitely the hand of the Lord right there!!!
• Had the best lesson with our cute converts Kimberly, Jhoaum, Milena and Liz! At the end of the lesson Kimberly asked if we could all sing “Gethsemnae” together! The Spirit was SO strong!! It was so special! I love those guys so much!!

Spiritual Thought

A scripture that really stood out to me this morning was in 1 Nephi 1:12. Talking about Lehi, it says “and it came to pass that as he read, he was filled with the Spirit of the Lord”. I really liked this scripture because instead of saying he felt the Spirit when he read, it says he was FILLED with the Spirit! As we read the scriptures, especially the Book of Mormon, we too can be filled with the Spirit of the Lord! I’ve seen in my own life and the life of so many others, that daily scripture study changes lives! Scripture Power is REAL! I know without a doubt that the Book of Mormon is true. Every page testifies of our Savior Jesus Christ. Joseph Smith said that “a man would get nearer to God by abiding by the book’s precepts, than by any other book” This is so true!!! My invitation to you is to pick up your Book of Mormon today read a little bit and be FILLED with the Spirit of the Lord!
