Week of Oct 19, 2026 — La Floresta, Paraguay

Good Morning! Hi everyone! Hope you are all doing awesome! This past week has been super great in La Floresta! Here are a few of the highlights!

• Zone Conference! Conference was super awesome! Felt the Spirit super strong and learned a lot! It was so fun to see everyone and learn how to be a better instrument in the hands of the Lord!
• Before Conference on Wednesday morning, me and a couple other missionaries played tennis with President Calderwood! And it was a blast!
• Super fun Noche de Hogar with Hermana Patty and her family! She made us some rico mbejut and cocido! We were talking about ways that we feel the Savior’s love and Hermana Patty said “doing this”. I am so thankful for all the awesome members here in La Floresta!
• Awesome Sacrament Meeting!! Almost all of the recent converts came to church which was super awesome! And Ricardo, who was baptized last Sunday, apparently has been telling everyone how amazing church is so his in laws came to church and loved it!! Super big miracle!
• One morning this week we were walking to a member’s house for lunch but we were super far and running a little late. And then literally 30 seconds after thinking that we were going to be really late, a couple from a nearby ward drove by and asked us if we wanted a ride! God is in even the little details of our daily lives!

New Character Added: Hermana Patty — A member in La Floresta who hosted a fun Noche de Hogar with her family and made mbejut and cocido.

New Character Added: Ricardo — A recent convert who was baptized last Sunday and has been telling everyone how amazing church is, leading his in-laws to attend and love it.

Spiritual Thought

This week they announced the new youth theme scripture which is found in Philippians 4:4 which reads “Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.” This scripture is super short but SO good!! Because of Jesus Christ, we have soo many reasons to rejoice! Because of Christ we can recieve forgiveness for our sins and learn from our mistakes. Because of our Savior we can have the opportunity to return to live with Him, our Heavenly Father and our families! Because of Jesus Christ, we never have to walk through this life by ourselves! Because of Him all things in this life can work for our good! Everyday there are so many different reasons to rejoice in the Lord!! I love my Savior and am eternally grateful for His Sacrifice for each one of us!!
