Week of Oct 26, 2026 — La Floresta, Paraguay
Hi everyone! Hope you are all doing super good! This week has just flown by here in La Floresta! The work felt a little bit slower here full of lots of contacting and rejection but ended in SOO many miracles! This weekend was evidence that this is the Lord’s work and when you do your part, He will always do His!! Here are a few of the highlights from the week!!
- Sunday morning we walked down to our friend Cirilo’s house to pick him and his family up for church, when we clapped at his house he wasn’t there. Then just a couple minutes after we recieved a text from the Elders that Cirilo was already sitting in the chapel! Such a big miracle!!
- Went to an awesome YSA activity with our friend Ner! The YSA lesson that night was super inspired as it was all focused on the importance of baptism!
- Super fun Noche de Hogar with the family Armoa! We all sang “Gethsemnae” together and the Spirit was so sweet! We celebrated their nephew’s 14th birthday with yummy cake and popcorn!
- Went out prosyleting with Sofi! Had some super great lessons with friends! Sofi is an awesome member here in La Flo! She submitted her mission papers on Saturday! Super stoked for her!
- Had a super good lesson with one of the cute converts named Santi who is 9 years old! He brought out his tiny little cousin and taught him how to bow his head, fold his arms and close his eyes to pray! It made my missionary heart so happy!
- Hit 14 months as a missionary! Still not exactly sure where all the time is going but I am SO thankful for every minute here in Paraguay as Hermana McCoy!! Missionary work is seriously the best work in the world!!

Spiritual Thought
The last couple weeks I’ve been thinking a lot about the parable of the talents found in Matthew 25! This parable talks about a man with a few servants. He gave the first servant 5 talents, the second servant 2 talents and the third servant 1 talent.
The first servant who “had recieved the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents”.
The second servant who “had recieved two, he has gained other two”.
And the third servant “was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine”.
In the end, each of these servants were accountable to their master and what they had done with their talents. While allotted different amounts, the first and second servant magnified what they had been given, and the master was pleased with them both. I love the meaning that this parable has for our lives!! In October ’25 Conference Elder Uchtdorf said, “The day will come when we stand before our compassionate Father in Heaven to give an account of our stewardship. He will want to know what we did with the gifts He gave us—in particular, how we used them to bless His children. God knows who we truly are, who we are designed to become, and so His expectations for us are high”. God does not compare His children horizontally! But He does ask us to magnify the talents (time, callings, responsibilities, gifts, etc) we have been given! I am thankful for our Savior Jesus Christ who makes it possible for us to try again over and over and helps us reach our divine potential!
